Does anyone know where I can buy a pair (or four) surface mounted stereo speakers, possibly having a polypropelene - or suchlike - cone, 3 or 4 inch.

I know they are available from WestMarine (1984944), who I will have to go to if I cannot find any online in the UK.

There are flush mounted speakers by the bucketload, but no surface mounted speakers with a bracket.

Someone must know of somewhere...................

Saw some flat panel speakers in Dixons that you could hang on the wall, I think about £30. Can't speak for the sound quality.

Ours are by Sea & Symphony They are Stainless Steel and made in Italy, but they cost a few bob. Various people will import them for you.

if you are going to mount them under cover then an alternative is to get some quite cheap ones, a friend has used the ones from argos (£20 pair) and they are reasonable for what you would want in the cockpit. and lasted a couple of years then repladce them if they go.

Would be interested in any reasonably price alternatives you find though.
