OK, so in the middle of our refit - hence the multitude of questions.

The boat is a 1979 Centaur, and on drawing the metal fittings into which the demountable table legs fit they crumpled into white powerd. Replacement time, anyone know a supplier of such things?

The chromed legs themselves look a bit rough now as well. Is it possible to have them stripped and re-chromed at all? The legs are slightly tapered at top and bottom, hence I don't want to just replace them.

Cheers, T

Who is boat DIY Sooooo much more fun than the house based equivalent?

Probably the only place I will ever get excited by table legs is on a boat.

Thanks chaps, that gives a non-rusting wobble free solution. Any known suppliers of the Desmo bits, simply because they're a straight swap for the bits I already have, or are they defunct?

I bought a nice stainless leg from Surejust for not very much more than an aluminium one. You can find them as www.surejust.co.uk or on eBay as seller surejustltd.
