Superyot that looks like a smart city apartment - from the OUTSIDE as well

It's okay to say what you think - the owner is dead :-)

true, however the designer Starck isn't (and he's done some excellent stuff over the years, have to admit this isn't one of them...)
a couple of threads when it was launched and some "interesting" comments then :D

cheers

V.

Didn't Starck also design those super yachts that look like giant mice? He should definitely stick to chairs and wash basins IMO.

... and lemon squeezers, buildings, skyscrapers and a few other things :D
yes seems that boats are not his thing...

My company's industrial unit looks prettier than that

hm, sorry Paul, I doubt mr Starck gives a sh1it if his design floats...
it's just the vision and the aura of this wonderful minimalistic blah blah blah

:)

True. There is a Starck story when he was designing the Aprilia Moto 6.5 motorbike...he asked if he could leave a part out as it didn't fit in with his design....it was the gearbox.

Nope, that was iirc Sir Norman Foster. Starck designed m/y A. I think A and Venus are both beautiful looking boats

I have that Starck lemon squeezer, a kind gift from EME and Targa50 of this forum, and it works as well as it looks :p

Yep, that's the one, although JFM has correctly pointed out that it was a Norman Foster design, not Philipe Starck. In my defence I don't think either of them design products for Homebase, so i'm not that familiar with their work :D

Back to M/Y Venus, is it just me or is the central tower/mast made of Lego?

Eyes of beholder, etc, but for the man who changed the world three times in a single decade with supremely well and beautifully designed products (mp3, smartphone, tablet), this yacht seems a big let down to his legacy. Slab sided ugly to these eyes anyway. His naval architect clearly wasn't part of apples design team.
Acshully, it was a Brit called Jonathon Ive who designed the Apple products.
