I wonder if the area it was in is one covered by the seabed damage rules. If it is, based on the trench shown in the pic, then they are due a megabucks fine.

A 30 foot sailboat grounding which resulted in a 2 metre score was worth $6000 a twin screw powerboat grounding was worth $30000.

My calculator has gone into exponential mode!

It does look like one heck of a scar

the lawywers got involved big time on this case

but it is about a 158 foot yacht that got stuck in the florida quays and the massive operation involved in removing it

I remembered a bit of the story but spent a few hours going through it in full last night. Really appreciate the link, amazing story and a happy ending! I always thought she got cut up but that may have been another Yacht as she is alive and well now.
