I notice there were a few comments on here in 2011 but I just read in Diesel and Gas Turbine World that it has now been completed and delivered.
49.9 m and all gas turbine power capable of 45 knots. Built in Devonport with a certain amount of secrecy around it. I suppose as is with many such vessels!
It has three Pratt & Whitney Canada ST40M gas turbines and three Rolls Royce 601-KF11 gas turbines. Three Renk COGAG gears and three Kamewa 112 S11 waterjets from Rolls Royce.
Must be an interesting fuel bill but the all GT power means "noise free and vibration free" propulsion!
