Superpump - beware......

Saw the mention by Hugo Andrae of the Superpump in previous months MBY and based on that recommendation orderd two directly from Superpump themselves. Transferred the funds requested into a UK bank account and deafening silence! Delivery promised in 10 days and nothing arrived after nearly two weeks, worse still emails don't get answered and no contact details on the site.

I accept cave emptor (buyer beware) but just thought it would be worth warning others.

I don't suppose anybody has a phone number or address for them?

Definite yes to number 1 but trying to trace the company named on the bank document, Lymfox Ltd, brings up addresses in Eastern Europe, Newton Abbott, Southampton & Bavaria but none of the phone numbers work and another site says the company was dissolved in 2006!

Even called the importer who supplies UK chandleries and they only have an email contact - the same one that I have!

that's the same product as the chap who year after year has a mini stand at the Southampton Boat Show. Charming, chatty, and a long term vendor. Excellent English but definitely of foreign origin, so he may be away back home for Christmas ?

I tried it & the message said in Hungarian & English that the number is not in service!

Finally.....................

Seven weeks after paying the 2 pumps have finally arrived.

I don't think there was ever an attempt not to meet their commitments but chaos reigned in terms of not answering emails, poor posting or postal services etc.

Just hope they work well!!!
