I wondered if anyone had any experience of these:

They say they are half the weight of a standard dinghy. I am thinking of getting one for occasional use so being easier to carry back and forth would be a great help. They are PVC rather than Hypalon. In the spec it says 'Mehler PVC', whatever that is.

It would be interesting to know whether they are robust or otherwise.

Have had one for two seasons now. Good dinghy but the towing eyes and other glued-on fittings on my dinghy are weak. I have had to re- attach the rowlock mouldings and fit new towing eyes. Otherwise no problems

I have 3 dinghys and the lightweight pvc one gets used most. Came with engine bracket, oars, thwart, air floor and pump. £99 in asda. Have seen them for £350 elsewhere....

The oars sink. You may find one if diving shell beach off herm. Otherwise 4th season no problems. Folds small as well as being light.
