For those who have or are offered their PV panels at ridiculously low prices, please note their warranties are probably void if this information from the Economist is valid:-

Ah, pity. Let's hope this doesn't drive up the price of panels.

I'm quite happy to go with cheapo panels, if they break just buy new ones. If you get 3 or 4 years out of them you're likely to be quids in.

very pleased now that i had Panasonic fitted to my roof & not the cheap ones offered
