We spent the last few days bringing a friends new Sunseeker from the factory in Poole to Ireland.

We were supposed to fly out Thurs morning but all flights cancelled (thanks Iceland) led to a 24 hour delay (we got the ferry in the end).

Anyhow, pics of Sunseeker factory etc. to follow, but in the meantime I thought i'd share these video's with ye. We left Salcombe this morning (Sat) early to get to Ireland. Once we rounded Lands End the seas completely flattened.

Total distance 321nm

And of course the 'wake shot' except in video form

Very nice Alt, thanks for posting....nice touch with the chart!

Thats the way the sea should always behave :)

What size is she, and what is powering her...I noticed the plastic still on the fly lounges.

Wow you were lucky with the sea conditions. It can only be that flat in the Irish Sea about one day a year and you got that day. I'm pleased to see that Sunseeker have sold a new boat in Ireland. I was talking to an Irish business associate of mine last week and he was bemoaning the fact that the Irish economy was totally f*****d. Pleased to see that somebody's got some money and is spending it on British manufactured goods:)

Somebody may aswell keep you Brit's afloat. Without us you wouldn't have motorway's either, you'd just have lazy gits sitting on a piece of land drinking tea talking about building them! :p

On a more serious note, yes, we were very lucky. We had planned to make a bit of a short holiday of the trip and do it in 3-4 days with many stop off's, but thanks to some forumites txt messages re. weather we decided to go for it while the gods were on our side. It was unfortunate that we didn't get to stop off in more UK locations, but absolutily no regrets and all on-board agreed in the end that the right decision was made
