I am thinking of buying a Sunseeker San Remo 33 from 1988. Does anyone have experience with that boat? What are the things to look out for?

Does anyone know broker Chris Allen from Perfect Boat Broker in Cannes? Experience?

Thanks very much

Frederick,

I bought a Portofino 31 from Chris Allen some years ago. I found him correct in his dealings and would work with him again. He made my first big boat purchase
easier.

Some extra input thought:

I would get a survey done, also it is acceptable to ask for the previous owner to put wright some minor issues and with hindsight I did not make full use of this.
If at all possible insist on a sea trial. Everything worked out for me but looking back I could have been stung.

If you export the boat ask for a "cancellation of flag" letter

I was less please with the boatyard he works for. When my Portofino was transported to Belgium it arrived just with the cockpit cover on and the windows open. Filthy and a bit wet inside. If I would do it again I would go down there and spend some time preparing the boat for transport myself and checking they did what the promised to do.

Last year I upgrade to a Martinique 38 and have become a great fan.
