Sunseeker Boss Phil Popham & Donald Trump

Have you ever seen them in the same room together……

The though crossed my mind when reading This Article on the forum. Could they be one and the same ?

It sounded like an episode of The Apprentice USA when I read:

“…..we weren’t represented or we had poor representation so we fired dealers and we fired dealers in the United States. We focused on that in the last couple of years. We took on two dealers in South America, filled the gaps in Europe, in Montenegro, in Croatia. We changed our dealership in Germany," (having presumably fired the previous lot first), "now we have offices in Italy."


Then I pictured the Donald delivering one of his speeches:

"We do expect to grow, I expect the market to grow. I think we are gonna grow quicker than the market.” So there’s definitely a growing message hidden in there.


I’m keeping my eyes open in case there's a Dorset County council planning application for the construction of a big wall to keep the people of Plymouth out of Poole


If it turns out to be true remember I called it first, at the very least I wonder if Mr Popham was given The Art of the Deal for Christmas? Good that everyone seems upbeat and positive in the boating world.

I think his interview was really bad PR, and I do not like it.
Who wants to invest time and money with a brand which is ready to say next if someone sells some more units then you do.

Bad taste H. Phil is a top bloke, and performed extremely strongly for Sunseeker, but on the down side, is also a friend of mine.

If you don't like honesty, tough. Phil was stating facts and saying his view of the future. He is nothing like the bird brain with the dodgy haircut, and I don't mean the North Korean fella

Hey don't shoot the messenger. I read the the interview on here and immediately thought of the Apprentice. I would have said Alan Sugar but reading the second bit I could just imagine Mr T delivering those words with his habit of repeating the core message.

I'm just commenting on how I read the content. If you're going to give an interview to a journalist surely you should expect people to read it. You must see the similarities ?

I'm sure Phil is a great bloke and it would be virtually impossible to emulate Donald Trump as a human being but in this case I do think the style of what was said lends its self to comparison providing the journalist hasn't misquoted him.

KJU managed to acquire the use of a Princess 95 from somewhere a few years ago. Haven't seen him on any of the cruise in company events though so maybe he's got rid
