Sunny Matharoo, Commodore TWYC

It is with great sadness that I have to announce that Sunny Matharoo, Commodore of The Windsor Yacht Club, lost his fight against cancer yesterday morning.

The Club have decided to cancel the Laying up Supper to be held this saturday (12th oct) but will instead host an informal drinks evening. Kate Matharoo (Sunny's wife) hopes to attend if she can.

The Commodore's Sail Past planned for Sunday 13th oct will go ahead as planned, with Kate and members of Sunny's family taking the salute onboard Sun Katcher.

I hadn't seen Sunny for about 9 months and didn't realise he was ill, as Mike said, a really nice man. Very sad for his family and friends.

Sad news indeed, I'm sure the entire membership of Bray will join me in wishing his family and friends our best wishes, and commiserations. What a terrible loss to Windsor.
