Sunken ships in Mediterranean harbour ?

Twice, a long time ago (first in 1966 and then in ~1971) I travelled in ships in the Med. The first time was on a journey from Holland to Thailand via Suez and the second from somewhere in Italy (maybe near Rome) to Beirut.

On both occasions I remember seeing a pair of sunken ships at the entrance to a harbour, off the starboard side of the ship as it went in and very near to it. I'm sure it was the same harbour both times because I distinctly remember remembering the first time on the second occasion (IYSWIM). I was very young then and have no recollection as to which harbour it might have been, can anyone here hazard a guess ? Are they still there ? Anyone got any pix ?

Thanks,

Boo2

At Ag Giorgis on the North side of Methana they sank a small coaster, filled it with concrete to extend the North mole. Can be seen clear on Google Earth.
