I'm struggling to find a chart block correction of any sort on this. Imray do not seem to have one and Admiralty have apparantly issued new charts -do not want to do that thanks! Any ideas -and comments on whether it is in use -I've heard not .
Thanks all /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Definitely in use - from the 1st July from memory. I downloaded the corrections from the Stanfords (now Imray) website, and tried to correct my new Stanfords chart but it was difficult without a chart covering the whole area. I'm now going to steer clear of the Sunk for this year and buy a new chart next year!
At least it'll be clear with a new chart.

Imray have issued a new chart C30 dated Aug 07 which has the new scheme on it. Prior to that you could get a block correction for their previous C30 chart.

I have this block correction in PDF format - PM me if you'd like it.

If anyone likes to let me have detailed, first hand and current observations on the scheme I can update the WCC site that VicS referenced above.

Not a block correction but a clear chartlet in the Reeds Almanac site June corrections. Shows not to cut across from the NE gunfleet to Long Sand Head any more, better to go down inside Long Sand and through Fishermans Gat (although this now has more shipping than in the past due to the loss of the Edinburgh Channel)

One small thing to add:- the Reeds update still mentions Sunk VTS on Ch 14, which was "canceled due to lack on interest". (Quote due to forumite in earlier post on this subject, but I can not recall who it was actually said it)

They have also issued a new 2000.1 sheet for those with the 2000 Folio set. Not everyone knows this, perhaps, but Imrays will sell Folio sheets separately.

I sailed from Ramsgate to Harwich and the Sunk TSS wasn't a problem ~ I stayed to the south of the roundabout and had no problems.

I also purchased a new Admiralty chart in Ramsgate (that showed the new TSS) before I left, but on reflection I needn't have bothered.

Ditto - heading south from Harwich the change is not an issue - heading to the continent the track we take corresponds with the recommended ferry track. Again not an issue, though the new chart gives you an insight into the merry go round spectacle going on to the north of you.

Who's idea was this anyway, and was there a need for this in the first place?
