FYI:

We shall be leaving Bray on Sunday morning for a nice little upstream trip to 'The Ferry' if anybody cares to join us for lunch and a few drinks.

I'll dig deep for a drink or so, but you can buy your own lunch... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We are looking to venture up river to Bray tomorrow for our first foray further up stream on Sunday, before back into Bray Sunday evening and down river on Monday. Any suggestions how far we could proceed up river for the day on Sunday would be appreciated. Regards and best wishes

Bray -> Boulters -> Cookham -> Marlow (Locks) is around 10 miles, so between 2 hours and 3 hours depending on traffic.

I stand to be corrected by people with better local knowledge though!

Just past Cookham lock on the left (Upstream) is 'The Ferry' where modest vessels can moor up and eat good food!

Thats a nice little trundle up from Bray, unless you leave early, in which case another couple of locks would be easy enough.

Really, it depends on how much progress you want to make, the weather, locks and how long you like to stop for lunch.

Is a good page to print out and keep on board. Reckon 4mph max including locks, far less if you include pubs!

Look forward to meeting some of you. We have the small Dog, by the way...
