Will try and get a message to them; Gladys was at the East Coast Old Gaffers meet at Wrabness & we all went up to Mistley & used step ladders to climb over the fencing. Really impressed how well the owner manages to do everything himself; topsail, flying jib, main etc, totally in control.

On Saturday afternoon the crew + mad spaniel were all on board, but very light winds & teeming down with rain; I didn't even bother raising the sails but Gladys had the full set up, and his crew stayed inside & the bawley easily outsailed the others which were sailing, and coming back to the buoys at Wrabness we were in awe how he managed to control & lower his sails without help. On my Crabber I usually manage to make a complete mess of raising or lowering, much simpler rig & with my wife helping.
