We sold our last boat a few years ago but I help a few people out looking after theirs. I like this.

So this morning, we took down the headsail on my oppos Jenneau 45 and folded it ready to go to the sail doctor tomorrow. These days, dropping and rehoisting sails doesn't need to happen much. So I roped in another pair of hands and supervised dropping the sail with the little top tips to make it go smoothly. I didn't raise a sweat....unlike them....or get grubby.

A very nice way to pass an hour, getting other people working.

A few weeks ago I was sailing with a pal who did the North West Passage some time ago. Both of us were eager to get our hands on some rope. Sails were hoisted and dropped over the course of the week.
