Hi

We are considering going back to sailing once we have sold our motorboat.

I came across a Sunbeam 32 and 36 on the internet today which caught my attention. If anyone has any knowledge of these yachts, I would be interested to hear their views on them ie build quality, sailing performance, maneouvering under power etc.

made in that well known maritim countery Austria by schockl yachten make about 80 per year, i dont think there is an importer in uk at this time but maybew mistaken, not many in UK but lots in adriatic. however a 40 ft 1 in hythe 'sea eagle 'never moves walk along soton water side of marina south basin is near the wall 2 or 3 pontoons along

Not sure that publicising a boat that never moves is a good idea. I wouldn't be happy if I was the owner and someone had said this. You might want to edit before it encourages the wrong types to check it out.

Thanks for the comments, I did also post this thread on scuttlebutt, so I have had a few comments there too. We have now swayed slightly, as looking at the new models on the Sunbeam site, they appear to have lost some of that quality scandinavian feel down below, although we havent seen one in the flesh yet.
