Sun shades for boats

Has anyone ever used one of these turtle sun shades on their boat, I am thinking of getting one for the summer as the boat is now up for sale so don't want to spend much and thought this would keep the sun directly off us when lying on the flybridge in the summer

There was a Broom on the lower Severn where our old boat was parked Shawn, that had one if these for the cockpit. Looked to work a treat even in reasonable winds.
