sun bleached grp revival

hi i have bought a boat that has sat in the sun for a couple of years and the grp looks very tired.the boat is in the caribbean so i cant use a company to revive it.
anyone got experience of the best way to revive the grp and also protect it from future sun damage would be appreciated.

What you need is a good rubbing (Polishing compound) and elbow grease! You cut back the GRP then polish it up. If it is very UV degraded this may take more than one aplication. Then you need a Sealer top level. Most specialised products doo the cutting/polishing compound and the sealing product. It will take time and effort but will be worth it. One product is A Glaze which is very good but expensive. The A Glaze Sealer will last up to 2 years.

You may not need to cut back too much. We normally recommend cutting compound only where scratches have to be removed. Our colour and shine restorer will do what the name implies while taking less off than a cutting compound.

Our UltraGlaze product also contains a UV inhibitor.

You might also consider a polishing machine, as it will be very hot doing all that polishing in the Caribbean sun.
