We took our kids to disney land in USA a few years ago and we went there thinking that "it is for the kids". But we all had a great time, would recommend it for Kids and Adults alike. they are well run and good fun. Just wear a comfey pair of shoes!!!/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Nearest hotels to disney are Marne-La-Vallee 15 Km from Disney ,E28, Just off of the A4,booking code0345. Meaux on N3.Coulommiers off N34. You can book on line and parking spaces at the hotels. www.hotelformule1.com. Good luck and enjoy your holiday

little joke about children to try and cheer you up

Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like
shoveling the drive before it has stopped snowing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mothers of teens know why some animals eat their young.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Children are natural mimics who act like their parents,
despite every effort to teach them good manners.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat
word for word what you shouldn't have said.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The main purpose of holding children's parties is to remind
yourself that there are children more awful than your own.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your kids.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Insanity is hereditary. You get it from your kids.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of
the people some of the time, but you can never fool mom.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I love to give homemade gifts. Which one of my kids
do you want?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A child's greatest period of growth is the month after
you've purchased new school clothes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyone who says "Easy as taking candy from a baby"
has never tried it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Children: You spend the first 2 years of their life teaching
them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next 16 years
telling them to sit down and shut-up.

Would defintly recomend formuler one hotels usally sited on the edge of a moterway look like they are built out of lego but sound proof windows, clean, quite with staff who will help even if your french is a bit suspect:-)
Dont know whether breakfast has changed sience I stayed in one but was a baggete and a pot of black coffee so would recomend finding the nearest hyper market for meals.

My mate and I went to Euro Disney when it first opened, though god knows why, we did the park in around half a day, got bored with American capatilism propoganda and left.

We were on our way down to Le mans and thought it might be a cool day out. Two 20 year old blokes, nope, terrible, is for women and kids!

We selpt in the car as too tight fisted to go to a B&B and too knackered to pitch tent. I rather drunkedly slept in sleeping bag by the side of the car in the end, for reasons only known to some drunk reasoning.

Kids like adventures, pretend to get lost, find layby and sleep in car, it will be a story to tell his mates when he gets back. Oh yeah, good luck in palming off a 13 year old lol lol.

Far be it from me to condone such a thing, but by far the cheapest way to take a child to Eurodisney is to buy a package during school term time. Because fewer people will be there, they will do lots of cheap deals and you won't queue for the popular rides for so long. The downside is that they try to sell to the conference trade during term time, so there will be lots of berks in stripy shirts and sharp suits, muttering about "thinking out of the box" and "viral marketing".

Schools don't like you taking children out during term time (and particularly when there are SATS or exams looming) but perhaps you could waffle on about the positive learning experience of such a trip, and the chance to observe wildlife (in particular, mice /forums/images/icons/smile.gif) at close quarters.

Don't miss the stunt driving display at Universal Studios; it's brilliant (and not just a bloke thing - my daughter loved it as much as my son). I couldn't handle all the rides, but Big Thunder Mountain and Star Tours are great. However, the Rock ' n Roller Coaster (in Universal Studios) was a bridge too far for me /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif.

Probably not the cheapest option, but going by Eurostar is great - it takes you to the gates of the Park.
