thought I would post a few pics from our recent holiday cruise from Bray up to Abingdon and back.
Left the Marina in the morning and spent the first day doing along trip to Sonning for the first night. Moored up at Uri Gellers moorings, and for the first time ever, never got charged the £10 mooring fee.
the weather was better from the next day onwards and we headed upstream and spent the next night moored before Days lock, so we could go into Dorchester, which was a first for us.
Sonning in the morning.
going through Whitchurch lock
coming up through the Goring Gap
next days journey plan was to head up and moor up at Oxford. But after passing through Abingdon and going upto Iffley lock, we didn't see any moorings that took our fancy, plus we were both so chilled out, that we decided that we actually didn't fancy the idea of mooring near a big town, so turned back and moored at Abingdon lock for the night.
Then turned around to head back downstream to spend the following week doing shorter journeys.
Took a detour into Abingdon marina on the way back and was very impressed by the huge lake area and all the houses that surrounded it. Looked a great place to live.
Moored up at Clifton Hampden (the only boat there)
then it was a overnight at Goring, then Pangbourne, and then Wargrave.

Then onto Henley
