Hi All - Lions Den and some fellow forumites are looking to undertake the above cruise in company which will be weather dependent from Tuesday 8th July over a 2 - 3 week period.
Be good to know of any good places to visit / eateries on the way :encouragement:
Looking to stay for 2 nights in Honfleur - St Vasst - 1 night in Cherbourg 2 - 3 nights in Guernsey for re-fuelling then down to Falmouth for re-fuelling returning to Haslar Marina via Plymouth - Dartmouth - Weymouth for re-fuelling - Poole - Lymington or Yarmouth then back to our home port @ Haslar Marina.

Please post on here if any fellow forumites are out and about whilst we are on the water so we can meet up for a beer n natter :encouragement:

Happy Cruising

Currently in South Brittany. We will be heading back via some of your ports of call but I don't think it will coincide with your timing. You don't mention re-fueling in Guernsey but I assume you will take on maximum there. Just over a month ago we paid £0.59 per metre from a tanker at St Sampsons. This included additional discount of about £0.04 for being an account customer.

Piers (of this parish) will no doubt be along shortly to entice you with the charms of Beaucette and its restaurant - both deserved. If you are in St Peter Port there are masses of good eating places but we like Mora on the front. A window seat gives an excellent view of the goings on in the harbour and you can keep an eye on your boat.

Have a great trip and balmy seas.

Richard.

Well spotted Richard - Now corrected - Guernsey to re-fuel but may do a small top up in Cherbourg just in case.
At St Sampson we will need a few 1,000 litres between us so will be looking at an overage % price - we can only ask :D

Beaucette forgot about that one - lovely harbour last visited over 15 years ago - might put it on our bucket list

Terry,

The price I quoted was for about 600 litres. I don't know if you have re-fueled at St Sampsons but you do need to book in advance. It is worth doing as the price will be considerably less than Boatworks or Beaucette. The phone number for Fuel Supplies Channel Islands is 010481 200800.
