Can anyone recommend a suitable AF for a new thru hull depth transducer? Can’t use our usual solvent based stuff apparently. One brush worth would do it so don’t want a mahoosive tin that will last me 25 years 🤔

I found the Marlin Eco transducer antifouling to be rubbish; water based solvent free and completely ineffectual, whereas I have slopped thick dollops of Hemel tiger xtra onto various skimmer and through hull transducers without issue. I even used the really aggressive solvent based stuff that used to be sold in Greece (colloquially called Farmaki or Poison) for many years on a couple of transom mounted skimmer transducers on a sports boat.
Could you try a coat of primer as a barrier coat and use your normal AF?

I've used International Ultra 300 on our boat this year including two thick coats on the Nasa transducer without any problems.

Never had any problem with any other antifouling over the years either. Didn't know it was a thing. I've always just slapped it on.
