Am looking for a very specific type of mobo and wonder what suggestions fellow forumites can offer.
max LOA 8m (Berth size)
Diesel / shaft
Hull type - displacement or semi-dis
an established design that will meet MCA coding requirements
Sea toilet / double berth / Dinette cabin seating
Cockpit area with self draining deck
other factors such as equipment / toys not bothered with as they can be spec'd / sourced.
New or Used. Budget up to £60k
My Loc: Nth Scotland - able to view anywhere UK
Currently have a boat on order which is spec'd for chartering, but have now been told (having ordered in Oct with a promissed delivery date of April) that I might not get it until mid-summer.. which effectively means I loose a whole season.. have to decide do I stick or do I sell my build slot.
I won't name the manufacturer... they're very small and produce V. high quality work and the boat is a great one... but it pains me to have £60k+ invested and to then have to wait a further 7 months to begin to re-coup some cash.
