Have a look at www.commicationaerials.com, then talk to them on the phone. I recently visited the factory and was most impressed by the quality of design and the solid construction. They have a good range and each unit is individually tested before it leaves the factory.

The other contact for Pacific etc antennas is SMI in Plymouth. Their catalogue is a mine of information about electronics and is courageous enough to print the prices alongside each photo.

Most aerials claim to be High Gain and all seem to offer either 3.5Db or 6Db. The golden rules are that a good big un will always beat a good littl un and to get them up in the clear. Unfortunately, if you are ina very crowded area, the super aerial will also capture everything around it inc more interference.

Having said that, there does not appear to be much difference between one commercially made antenna and the next. They are all pretty good.
