Major Catastrophe

Whilst most of you had a miserable weekend, I was enjoying the unique micro climate that occurs quite often in N Wales.
After an incredible hot and windless Friday, Saturday was warm and mostly sunny. Sunday started with black clouds and threatening rain. I had three of my business partners visiting over the weekend so that we could discuss some plans. We decided to set off in the boat, despite the clouds and headed towards the Western end of the Menai Straights mainly because the weather looked better that end.
We decided to anchor in Aber Menai Aber Menai and have a BBQ on the beach. All day the anchorage sat under a patch of blue sky while the dark clouds hung over the eastern end.
First time I have left the boat at anchor.
After the BBQ, we sat in the cockpit and enjoyed a two hour meeting drinking beers in the bright sunshine.
On the way back to Port Dinorwic, we did some fishing and caught a whopper off Ronnies boat launch.
After a bit, we threw it back as it was flapping around a bit too much. Click link to view.
Nice to see that the local sailing club is still putting their turning marks just outside the harbout entrance. Luckily, I didn't foul my prop this time.
