Reminds me of the telegram sent to a submariner at his wedding reception from the submarine: "Report speed and depth at midnight."

That's Richard Bode from 'First you have to row a little boat'. Good book, and by coincidence that quote is on the back of our catalogue.

I don't think this submarine racing will catch on as a spectator sport. The beer gets watered down and the crisps go soggy.

Sorry about that. I thought submarine racing was a serious subject!
I was surprised to see the quote in Yoty's signature because the book is not too well known on this side of the pond. It uses sailing as a metaphor for life very effectively. Oops, getting serious again!
