There's a submarine in Thames & Kennet marina, sorry don't have a photo, it may be going to the Reading Festival if previous years are anything to go by. It has some anti-pedophile message on the side I think.

That does indeed look like the sub from T&K ,Never ever seemed to go out when we moored there apart from stealth mode after dark down to Sonning lock and back .
Did a double take one night sat on ours drinking wine as you do and it slipped past in the dark with just the glow of the helmsmans fag from the conning tower ....must of been in place of his nav lights i guess .

Yes, it was at T&K apparently constructed from an Oil rig evacuation vessel with an added conning tower and used for publicity purposes.

We had a double take when on the Trent and Mersey canal at Alweras a few years ago. Sipping a sundowner on the aft deck when a swirl and bubbling caught my attention. It was a scale model U boat in full working order surfacing and diving up and down the cut outside the owners canalside home. Top marks for a great model. He had a battleship too!

The generator/pump and the pipe heading below deck and underwater, really makes the dark, cold, steel tube inviting!!!
