Anyone help please, 250 hp with Bosch pump, refuses to start, just cranks over, but when checked the stop/start solenoid appears to be working. Tried again today it fired up but then ran over speed, and died again. suspect the pump needs overhaul?

do you mean a steyr diesel engine ?
poster Maverickofpoole has experience with them (not all good)

Just found this! any ideas? and could it be the problem, not up on modern engines ours are Ford Mermaid and ANCIENT.
