Does anyone know the whereabouts of STV Halcyon ? In the early 80's she moored up the Hamble and was run by I think Hampshire County Council. She was used as a training vessel for cadets at the local college. they also had a power vessel called 'Somerset' which I believe is now rusting away up the Medina. Anyway, Halcyon was sold around 1990 and was sailed to Swansea for a refit for a planned world cruise. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

I was aboard her about 7 years ago when she was undergoing an internal refit at Milford Haven. The quality of the work was superb. If she is in the same ownership I expect her to still be in outstanding condition.

Yes, thats the one ! Many Thanks. I was particularly interested in her as I sailed from Plymouth to Bermuda via St Malo and the Canaries in 1984. I was also aware that she needed some major structural work in the early 1990's. Good to see that she's still hanging in there. She was and is a vessel of extreme beauty.
