Based on conversations, pms, thread and (probably) stuff I have imagined, itr would appear that the following might turn up and 'heave too' at some point in the vicinity of the Banks Arms Buoys in Studland from around midday Saturday.....
Ianainge - True Spirit
Graham_Wignall - Arcadia
Jon Bailey - El Tojobe
BrendanS - Iditarod
duncan - Phaeton
BarryH - Two Ladies
Planty - Damm the Expense
anewbie - Quiet Storm (maiden voyage that day!)

Some boats staying overnight, some maybe heading into Poole.

Weather permitting etc etc etc

Why do you think I am only bringing along two of the three kids?

BTW The other day I was leaning over the fence talking to a farmer when he says 'That's my best sheep over there',
I asks 'But why, when it has only got three legs?'
'Well' came the reply 'You don't eat your best sheep all at once'.

So what's the plan for the feeding of the 5,000 then? Should we pack some disposable barbies and the requisite burgers/buns/booze?

I am assuming that's best - if we plan more it will fail - ie if we agree someone for food, one for booze and rely on another for the BBQ it will inevitably be a disaster when the booze fails to turn up.................../forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Anyway there is always the BArms!

Ahem. Can you honestly see anyone here turning up with no booze? I can see us with enough booze to float a boat, 17 disposable barbies and no food...

What is the chance of catching some mackerel? I do not know where to go in the area but there must be somewhere around Old Harry or the like that is awash with them by now. I would be quite prepared to drop off wife and kids and then go off to do the hunter/gatherer or male bonding bit provided there is a little beer on board!

What do you think?

Drift the Harbour entrance with a set of Feathers. Always loads there. The kids have fun working the feathers there for mackrel. If you get bored with that. Go just inside the entrance and walk along the rocks by the Seafood Retaraunt and collect cockles from the rocks. Makes the people eating sick, they've paid loads of money for what your getting for nowt.

Now I will be there if I can get this bloody Range Rover fixed. Who knows where I can get a dizzy for one like RIGHT NOW.

that's the way I would see it too except's SWMBOs are more likely to be there because it's going to e sunny and calm and they tend to pack food but not booze or barbies!
Compromise on forgetting the barbies then?

Can we decide now whose boat we're going to burn if there's no barbies. I can provide plenty of diesel...

Also, that male bonding thing sounds fun. Have a couple of rods on board with spinners and feathers.

Quite a few around - I am happy to join the hunt providing kids and SWMBO fully catered - I cannot risk an accusations of desertion (perceived or otherwise)!
Also Black Bream are currently cheaper of Ballard Point than Sainsbury's (13.60 per kilo for scrappy little things - ugh!) and of course the odd Sea Bass ............

Putting your 2 points together I picture a competitive fishing session to provide the food and we burn the losers boat to cook it.......that sort of thing?

All whilst drinking the booze that everyone bought plenty off
