Studland Bay

Quick bit of advice please. Planning to pick some friends 2 +2 up from Brownsea Island on Sunday and anchor at Studland for lunch watch the air show etc. Seems to be a strong southerley wind forecast and wondered how uncomfortable it might be or can someone offer other suggestions. We are fairly new to the area and not anchored previously at Studland.

Shouldn't be too bad, you'll get some shelter from Ballard Down, where Old Harry lives.

If you're not familiar with Studland Bay, watch out for Redend Rocks posn 50 38.685N 01 56.636W. They're not marked any more, but are on charts.
