Listening to local radio news item about how bitterly disappointed the dogooders/conservationists are with DEFRA's decision to only give 31 of the proposed 127 sites a coat of looking at, Studland not included in the 31. well done OldHarry!

Along with the headline they had an interview with a rep of treehuggers.com girley voiced, she said that the spiny seahorses mated for life (which is a crock of ****)and when one is killed the relationship is devastating for the survivor.

If they must use human emotions in the animal kingdom, why can't the spiny seahorse get a divorce? or, god forbid, have an affair with a big breasted spiny horse, these people just make me smile when they apply human values to fish, after all that is what a seahorse is! bony fish. Never mind the eel grass, lets have more lemon grass, fish sauce and a touch of light soy sauce, mmm tasty.

These people need to get out and see the real world, seahorses are street food in most of Asia!

Rant put to the back of the hob on simmer!
:rolleyes::D

May I first state that I wouldnt wish any harm to any seahorses or their environment, I have dived there many times and believe I understand the full situation.

Its a good result, three cheers for old harry, well done :)

This was on R4 this morning & the eco guy admitted that they hadn't done a good job of their cost/benefit analysis.

As if there was some financial benefit from destroying the sustainable fishing, tourism & boating industries. :rolleyes:

BTW Your name came up in Preston today, DAKA. :p

Trap? Moi? I think you have mistaken me for somone who cares . . . :cool:

No traps, but there was a preponderance of MoBo'ers as you might expect (altho there were at least 4 Raggies) & our mutual teases were mentioned.
