This freighter was forced aground after breaking a tow of the hanois it was ren route to getting kitted out as it has no engine or equipment.

It has 20 tons of ballast an today is the highest tide this month so they will try to see if it will float.

Yes basically you stake your claim and then get 10% of the cost of the boat in compensation. I dont know the ins and outs but we have rescued a boat of Herm once and he was an ungrateful sod, no thank you or nothing just , what are you playing at morring my boat there! My freind reminded him of salvage rights and had a bit of a go at him, next thing we know we had free drinks all night ;-)

This guy was a raggie and had not left enough chain out to account for the high tide.
