Strong winds - Solent buoys dragged?

Just wondering why I've had a handful of KHM notices the last couple of days about buoys being 10-20 metres north east of their charted positions. Have the strong south westerlies really dragged them all?

Not impossible I suppose. That gake was very gusty. My anemometer has recorded gust of 70kts in the past, but in this gale it was damaged by a strong gust, although it recently had a new sensor. Dont know the peak as it stopped recording!

First Mate and I cruised Irelands East and North coasts this season. Carlingford Lough has very strong tides. Some of the channel markers are mounted on minature cathedral hulls that reverse-bow always into the flow- as the tide changes so offering less resistance than conventional round based ones.

Seems like a good idea.
