Sorry in advance that this is completely non - boaty. I've put this on The Lounge as well but as I feel much more at home here I hoped you would all forgive me if I duplicated the post here in a good cause.
Last year my teenage daughter’s best friend of many years had a real shock when her grandfather had a serious stroke. Since then he has been receiving enormous support from the Stroke Association. To help ensure that as many stroke sufferers as possible can get the same support they’ve both decided to enter a fund raising charity run of 10 kms (6 miles) in May.
Neither of them has ever run before so this is going to be a real challenge and they’re training hard.
If anyone out there would like to sponsor either one of a couple of teenagers that would be fantastic and very much appreciated.
