Strange tremors near Ballater

Charles and Camilla are honeymooning in Scotland. Obviously the earth moved. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Personally dont give a toss about anybodies views on the monarchy, but do care very much about the flak these two have been receiving from the press for the last 3 months. The couple are only reflecting the era in which we live where 1-in-3 marriages will fail.

Give them a break, they are obviously happy together, and from all reports and what can be seen on the idiot box, both sets of children get on and appear happy as well - not an easy thing after a major family disaster, especially when they can never be allowed to forget due to the continual pillorying in the media.

I agree with you 100%. In my naivity I hadn't thought through the original posting and read it as being serious; hence my joke. Daft really and I wish I could edit out my reply, but it's too late. Personally I don't like the "horsey" jibes; I think that they are in poor taste.

Please accept my apologies.

FWIW I totally agree with your second paragraph; good on 'em!

Absolutely. He may be Very wealthy, but the life he has had to lead and the crap he's had to put up would be intolerable to us 'normal' people.
Best of luck to them both.
It's got nothing to do with us, if the great unwashed weren't such a issue in the treatment of the royals he would have never had to marry the matchstick woman and could have married the woman he really loved.
He also has great judgement regarding Royal Correspondents

Aye right. It would be impossible for the chap to give up his 'job' relinquish his cushy position and earn a crust just like the rest of us.

Would he be missed? Would any of them be missed?

[ QUOTE ]
it has been reported by some hillwalkers camping in the Braemar area last night that earth tremors of 4.2 on the Richter scale were felt continuously throughout the night .
One strange thing however was that some of them were sure that they had heard a horse neighing as well

[/ QUOTE ]Naa, Naa, it was jus wee Jimi using the ootside cludgy after a couple of FB for supper. He forgot he wasne on GR.

His job seems anything but cushy. I for one certainly wouldn't swop with him.

Let us hope that it also gives a chance to his eldest son, in that if he finds someone to love, may they not need to be white-British-protestant-aristo-virgins to ruin another generation, a species anyway in very short and diminishing supply.

Perhaps it's time we started honouring the imperfections in others that we know in ourselves.

I have a theory that the press have a tendancy to
criticise public people of, let us say, less than
handsome good looks. (Robin Cook comes to mind)
Conversely they tend to forgive the indiscretions
of the rather good looking (Paddy Ashdown comes to mind)

Unfortunately Royals are fair game because they do not answer back!
