Hello, I have a problem with my Yanmar 3YM20 after relaunching. There is a loud noise at mid-range both forward and reverse. It sounds like cavitation but there are no bubbles behind the propeller. The shaft does not seem misaligned, I did not change anything during winter storage, the PSS seal seems OK. If you have any idea, thank you?

Have you lubricated the PSS by pulling the carbon disc back a little to let some water in? Can't imagine it would make that racket but worth a try.

Thanks for your help. The PSS gasket leaks a few drops at startup due to engine vibrations, then nothing. So I think the carbon discs aren't glued. How can I get them unstuck? Is it possible while the engine is still running?

Doesn't sound like the PSS overheating if it leaks a little by itself.
You've poked your head around the engine bay to try to ascertain where the noise is coming from? From engine, gearbox, or sterngear?
Does it make the noise in neutral?
Checked oil levels of engine and gearbox?

drain and engine level and inverter ok. on the video (without sound) drop.infini.fr we don't see any cavitation bubble. I'm going to fail to see propeller, shaft and anode. what's weird is that there wasn't this noise before the water came out???

Thank you all for your contributions. The noise is coming from the waterlock. I think it appeared after I changed the seawater pump impeller, which is much more efficient than the old one.
