Hi,

my last functioning impellor unit just dissappeared into the deep, presumably giving its swallower severe indigestion but this is scant consolation.

is it possible still to get replacement units anywhere ? (i can get no joy from google etc).

alternatively one of my lockers yielded a venerable impellor unit on which a previous owner has chopped the wire just as it leaves the unit - thus making it impossible to join any further wire. can the units be pulled apart & new wire led in ? the unit seems pretty indistructable to me but maybe there is some secret knack to prising them apart that someone could kindly share.

many thanks for any help offered.
best wishes
Stephen.

I searched high and low for one two years back and found what the seller (who I met at a boat jumble) thought was the last one (he'd bought a stack of them when Stowe was taken over by whoever). I'm still keeping my eyes open, because I fancy a spare but I think the best bet would be to look for someone that has one and is upgrading to a paddlewheel log.

BUT - I do (I think) still have a damaged one in the back of a locker. You're welcome to it if it might allow you to cannibalise it to repair your wire-less one. Problem - I'm not at the boat this weekend. Let me know next week if you've drawn a blank (and if you do find somone with some in stock, please let me know and I'll take another off their hands).

I have one, i have fitted a paddle with a nasa cockpit mounted dual depth and speed.the chart table has stowe display wind and speed.I keep it as back up. give me a pm as i will be back in uk for jan boat show.and if your stuck could arrange
to bring it.Do a search on the forum as some one on the south coast supposedly bought all the old stowe spares.but I cant find the address.

A.W.Marine have recently purchased all spares and main line products of Stowe Marine from Simrad, and are back into manufacture of many spare parts for the mast head units, transducers etc.

Any enquires please contact Alan at info@awmarine.com or ring 02392 504253.
