Stowe paddle-wheel.

I have discovered that the tiny magnet has dropped out of one of the fins of the paddle-wheel for my Stowe speed/log. I am having another sent to me. Does anyone know how to change it over? That is the little wheel, not just the magnet. I gather two pins are involved...

The paddle wheel spins on two tiny pins, which are extensions of tiny stainless steel grub screws. You'll see the heads of these screws on the outside of the transducer body. To unscrew them, you'll need a very fine screwdriver. Either buy a proper watchmaker's screwdriver (cheap sets often seen in DIY shops) or file down an ordinary screwdriver until it fits. When fitting the paddle, just screw the screws in until the heads are flush with the surface. Don't forget to antifoul the paddle and the housing before fitting the paddle!
