In the strong winds last week the 3 cup anemometer rotor of my old Stowe masthead wind unit, which I had just overhauled with new bearings, managed to unscrew itself and helicopter away to heaven knows where!

Just wondered if anyone has a defunct Stowe MHU gathering cobwebs available for a modest deal please? I really just need the plastic rotor and probably the stepped washer that goes behind it (haven't been up to look yet). Oh yes, and the securing nut...

Thanks

Mike

You may be in luck.
First the good news - we have the wind angle and wind speed head for a Navigator 2 unit of uncertain vintage, but the 'connector' is still at the top of the mast.
The unit is intact and worked when in use - we replaced all the instruments and I could not afford a full set of Stowe or similar.
Bad news - we are in Belgium at the moment. Could stick it in the post for you if you can Paypal the postage - or you can wait a couple of weeks when one of us is in the UK and can drop it in the post there.
