not sure what we have done this year but for some reason our boat has started to appeal to a feathered stowaway - same boat - same mooring for years - but this year friend pidg is determined to raise her family on board

second time in a fortnight she has set up home and laid egg but this time she was determined to stay in residence and only after full scale effort from swmbo would she go !

perhaps good news is that pidg seems to be solitary and so far - not inviting her relatives and friends to pop (poop) over!

Found one nesting on the bunk of my old boat (on a swinging mooring) many years ago, it had cr*pp*d everywhere, and then after I had ejected it it had the cheek to keep buzzing my head trying to get back in again until it eventually got the message after several ineffective swipes with the dinghy oar. Being an old wooden boat it needed plenty of ventilation so for the next year or so I had to fiddle about rigging netting each time I left the boat.
