Can anyone please help find where i can purchase a key type decal for the Origo 4300E stove on my Bayliner 285. i can find them on USA sites but they say they can't dispatch to the UK. Dealers in the UK have told me they can't get hold of any. My boat is only 2005 so it's not like it's really old.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi dawn mist and welcome to the forum. As another 285 owner, can I ask why you need to get hold of the sticker and which one it is??

Can you get it from an origo dealer if it's not available from a bayliner dealer??

Decal

Hi

I had the same problem on my 3055. My wife's hobby is cooking (shame). Because of overuse, the decal which covered the electrical switches on the hob had worn through and presented a risk of water getting into the works.

I did manage to source one in the UK via a chanderly but the quoted price (I seem to remember £130) was obviously designed to disuade me.

In the end, after trying various diy solutions, I threw it out and replaced it with a Baumatic domino type domestic hob - very nice too. We use a Cob when away from shorepower.

It's a Dometic product, they have a distributor in the UK and also two parts retailers - one of which is Leisureshop Direct. I would start by giving them a go - less hassle for you.

The Bayliner owners forum can help to find someone willing to post it, but they are not as active as YBW and sometimes you only get a response after a few weeks.

I found that many stores will post internationally if you phone them in person and explain you are from the UK (as opposed to, say, Nigeria). Postage should not be a lot since it can go in a standard letter envelope.

Since there are a few of us, do you want to find out and see how much it would cost if we order 3 or 4 and share the cost? FWIW, I believe the US and EU templates are the same.

Worst case, there was a guy in the "For Sale" area of the forum a month or two ago selling a stove for something like £100. I didn't see any takers so maybe he still has it and you can replace the stove for less than the cost of the template?

Just checked, Swego sells these for $21.25 each plus delivery.

I used to order other Origo/Tappan/Contoure parts from them - unless something has changed, they will ship to to UK but contact them through e-mail first.

Again, if you go ahead please let us know so we can share the cost.

Surprise. Seems you can order them from Curry's Partmaster for £11.99 plus £5.24 delivery here.

I remembered something about Origo being part of Electrolux before Dometic took ownership - which probably explains why Partmaster - which is now part of Curry's - has stock.

To clarify, this is for the 4300 which, as I mentioned above, should be compatible with the 4300E - the only differences (I remember) being the heating element voltages and a jumper to select the low voltage circuit board voltage. And the missing "E" on the decal, of course.

I have gone ahead and ordered one - should be 2 day's lead time.

If it doesn't work, I will shout (at myself) on here :-)
