brighton touched gale force 11! i stayed on the boat after a night out saturday and i tell you what i wish i had gone home never seen anything like it in my life the marina wall was just a wall of sea coming over the top!!!

Yes itwas QAB 16 boats over & the carnage was worse than tv showed
1 guy sat in cockpit of 31 ft yacht all night cos he was scared boat might sink &couldn't get off because the pontoons were bucking too much.
Wind min speed 55mph for 24 hours ave gust 75 mph Max gust @ Mayflower Marina 90mph Tamar Bridge recorded 113 mph. BIT OF A BREEZE WHAT!

Thanks for all the info about qab. Thank goodness no- one was hurt. Hopefully the insurance companies will not be the next headache for the poor folks who have damaged boats.
