Why is the Velcro on the cuff tabs of waterproof jackets so tenacious? Twice now, on two different jackets I have peeled back the rubber tabs and left the Velcro bit stuck to the sleeve, and the rubber bit is left flapping. I have tried numerous different adhesives without permanent success. Latest try is with urethane seam sealer...

But if the manufacturers are going to use Spiderman-strength Velcro at least they could use a stronger glue to glue the Velcro to the tabs....

quicker, easier, cheaper to just glue the Velcro on, I suspect

Maybe superglue would be better. I'll try that next time, if there is a next time

Even if the manufacturer was too cheap to sew it on, why don't you do so? Twenty minutes while sat in front of the telly and it's sorted for good, got to be better than continually having it come loose and trying yet another different jollop.

I'm pretty sure that me trying to sew through the rubber tab, it would end up looking like a dogs dinner......
