We have recently acquired more land together with additional under cover storage at our Club, and this additional space has allowed us to develop a scheme for temporary membership for owners who are looking for short term space for fitting out, or even long term space for more serious work.
We have full shore facilities including 20 tonne boat hoist, electricity and water, and a large workshop. The Club is strongly based on the principle of "self help" with considerable experience amongst its members who are usually willing to help and advise on the many challenging boat maintenance jobs that we face.
Below is a schedule of the general charges, but if anyone would like more information please follow the link or pm me.
Following the acquisition of new land at their site on the Pierhead, Barry Docks, Barry Yacht Club are now able to offer a facility for temporary boat storage. Boat owners are able to join as temporary members for a period of up to six months while their boats are stored, with the option to keep the boats in the yard or undercover (subject to space).
The prices for membership, boat storage and a returnable key deposit can be found below:
Temporary membership and storage tariff
Returnable deposit for Club key and fob £25
Temporary membership for no longer than 6 months £10
Use of hoist and trolley £55 each way
Boat storage in the open £25 per metre per calendar month or £5.77 per week
Boat storage under cover An additional £20 per metre per month or £10.39 per week
Storage cradle To be charged at cost per week
Boat owners will be responsible for their own insurance while boats are stored at the facility.
