Stopping PVA beading up

How you stop the PVA beading up when sprayed onto a fibreglass mould after polishing?

I should point out I have been starting with a mist coat but this has made no difference

If it's a water based PVA the wax in the polish is causing the beading, try applying a water based release agent over the wax polish.

The PVA is supposed to be water based, it washes off with water and the wax is silicone free. Trouble is it's a complicated moulding and if I just use wax I feel it will be hard to release. I am using the PVA so I can put a hose in to wash it out, so making release easier.

Have you got any hairspray handy? (Not that I've ever used it myself, even as a mould release agent... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

It sounds as if you are trying to apply the release agent toooo thick
use a piece of fine textured sponge, immerse in PVA fluid squeeze nearly dry then wipe in one direction only dont go over any areas already wiped
