I am surprised to see so many forum members in support of the government plans, in particular the closure of the Clyde station, the second busiest in the UK.
The loss of local knowledge and operational capabilities is going to put lives at risk and Clyde's closure must be reversed, it is just common sense. This whole sorry saga has nothing to do with resilience and modernisation and all to do with political point-scoring.

Actually the changes have all been devised by the management of HMCG service itself, a process started long before the last General Election and nowt to do with politics at all.
