STOP PRESS - it stopped raining for 3 whole hours on Sunday!

I managed to wash down the decks. Blimey, boats get dirty in this grey ol' town.

And I hoisted our new ensign - all 1.5 yards of it. Looks tiny! SHOULD HAVE GONE BIGGER
Yeah, know what you mean. On our previous vessel we had a huge (holiday) ensign we flew on the radar pole on the stern - especially when in French waters!!

I was told by an Oyster commissioning guy that their ensigns should just touch the water.......
We now have an issue with the mizzen boom interfering so currently make do with a, quite frankly, embarrassingly small ensign and we need a new staff as ours got damaged but we are considering moving it or getting a curved one.

Oh, the shame....I've got bigger courtesy flags......

We braved Ramsgate to the Orwell yesterday, let's just say it wasn't a bundle of laughs for 99% of the journey.....and about 10 mins away from Fox's the sun came out and the wind dropped to zero, a perfect spring like afternoon.

This rather tame arrival undermined our stories from our slightly adventurous trip!
